>>1913Before watching the episode I figured the "lesbian reveal" thing would just be a token 5-10 second throw-away shot. It still turned out to be a big "Wow! It's fucking nothing!", but I'm glad it was, because I agree LGBTAYYLAMOWTFBBQ shit really doesn't belong in a kids show.
Episode as a whole was pretty meh. They tried to play up the feels, but it seemed really forced compared to episodes like The Perfect Pear or Amending Fences where the feels actually work. The idea of moving away would have had a lot more impact if Scoot's parents had actually appeared in literally anything over the past 9 years instead of just now showing up. Probably would have been even better if they actually went through with the move as a cliffhanger and then have the CMCs get back together later in the season.
That, and some stuff really made me cringe and the jokes really didn't hit the mark. It's all the more noticeable since last week's episode was so good.
